# Marketing Campaigns

Marketing Campaigns lets you create campaigns and track their performance in real time. Each campaign uses QR codes and links (touchpoints) to measure how your audience engages, such as QR code scans and link clicks.

Marketing Campaigns is built from two parts:

* **Campaign**: a group that organises related touchpoints, for example by industry, event or promotion (e.g. *healthcare*).
* **Touchpoint**: a single point where a customer reaches your business, such as a QR code on a poster or a link in an email. Each touchpoint has its own QR code and URL.

When a customer uses a touchpoint, this is what happens:

1. The customer scans the QR code or clicks the QR code URL.
2. They're taken to the touchpoint's **destination**, such as your WhatsApp channel.
3. They send the **initiation phrase** (e.g. "Hello, I would like to know more about this hospital.").
4. The initiation phrase triggers the **workflow** you selected, such as an AI assistant that answers their questions.
5. The scan or click is recorded under **Trackings**, so you can see how the touchpoint is performing.

#### Step 1: Create a campaign

Start by creating a campaign to hold your touchpoints.

1. In the left-hand menu, go to **Applications** and click **Marketing Campaigns**.
2. Click the blue **+** button in the top right-hand corner and select **New Campaign.**

3. Enter a name and click **CREATE**.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://3400071099-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FypCKq44Psaly6khgrY7x%2Fuploads%2FR8BqTYJEr03v37cJWgyS%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=380b67b9-9da9-4ace-9c73-421218a38a3c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Your campaign now appears as a tab at the top of the page. The number in brackets shows how many touchpoints it contains, so a new campaign shows **(0)**. Click the **⋮** icon next to the tab name to manage the campaign.

#### Step 2: Add a Touchpoint

Next, add a touchpoint to your campaign. This is where you decide where the QR code leads and what happens when a customer arrives.

1. Click the blue **+** button and select **New Touchpoint.**&#x20;
2. **Describe the touchpoint**

* **Touchpoint Name** (required): a name that helps you recognise it, e.g. *Hospital Knowledge Base AI Assistant*.
* **Touchpoint Description**: what the touchpoint is for, e.g. *Demo for replying to hospital visitors through WhatsApp*.

3. **Record where your traffic comes from** (used for reporting)

* **Paid Keywords**: any paid keywords linked to this touchpoint, separated by commas.
* **Source**: where traffic to the QR code or URL comes from, e.g. *Organic*.
* **Touchpoint Media**: the type of media the QR code will appear on, e.g. *Prints*.

4. **Decide what happens when a customer arrives**

* **Touchpoint Destination** (required): where the customer is taken, such as a website or a channel like WhatsApp.
* **Initiation Phrase**: the message the customer sends in the destination to start the conversation.
* **Workflow to Execute**: the workflow that runs once the initiation phrase is received. If you don't have one yet, click **Add New** to create it.

5. **Customise the QR code**&#x20;

* Upload your logo to brand the QR code. The file must be JPG, PNG or SVG and smaller than 5 MB.

6. Click **CREATE**. Your touchpoint and its QR code are now ready.

#### Step 3: Share your QR code

The QR code appears on the right-hand side of the touchpoint page.

* Use the **QR CODE / QR CODE URL** toggle to switch between the QR code image and its link.
* Click **DOWNLOAD** to save the QR code for your printed or digital materials.
* Click **COPY** to copy it, for example to paste the link into an email or social post.

#### Step 4: Track your results

Go back to the Marketing Campaigns page to see how your touchpoints are performing. Click **All** to see every touchpoint, or click a campaign tab to see only that campaign's touchpoints.

Each touchpoint card gives you a summary:

* **Status**, e.g. *Active*
* **Source**, **Campaign** and **Touchpoint Media**, the details you entered in Step 2
* **Date range** the touchpoint has been running
* **Trackings**: the number of **clicks** on the QR code URL and **scans** of the QR code

To see how the touchpoint is set up, click **More Details**. The card expands to show the destination, the workflow it runs, the initiation phrase, and the QR code and URL. Click **Less Details** to collapse it.

#### Update a touchpoint

Your QR codes are **dynamic**, so you can change a touchpoint's destination or workflow at any time without reprinting or resending codes you've already shared.

1. Open the touchpoint from the Marketing Campaigns page.
2. Make your changes and click **UPDATE**.
3. Click **< Campaign List** to return to your campaigns.
